Beginning her directorship on January 1, 2012, Connie Wolf, former director and C.E.O. of San Francisco's Contemporary Jewish Museum, brought her acclaimed innovation and drive to lead the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University. This was a return to her alma mater, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in East Asian studies in 1981 from Stanford’s School of Humanities and Science.

It’s a transformational moment for the arts at Stanford. Not since the founding of the university, when its museum was the largest private museum in the world (before the 1906 earthquake), have the visual arts been more prominent, more vital and more essential to the life of Stanford students. Join Cantor Arts Center director Connie Wolf for a discussion about why the arts matter now more than ever.
