    Description

    Marie-Louis Catsalis is the guest speaker for our Spring Artist's Salon. She will be presenting on the work of Francesco Durante. Catsalis trained a group of Stanford undergraduates to perform a modern-day premiere of Durante's 'Stabat Mater.'   

    During the salon, the audience will listen to a live performance of a sonata and continuo attributed to Durante as well as recordings of the live performance of 'Stabat Mater.' This will be followed by the reflections on the process of archival research. transcription, reconstruction, performance and dissemination.
