Faculty Fellows' Lunch Featuring Patricia Nguyen

Patricia Nguyen: "Sex Bias in Medical Research and Its Effects on Evidence Based Medicine"

Although females are known to respond differently than males to different diseases and treatment regimens, there has been an over-reliance in the use of male subjects in medical research, which may have a negative impact on females. Professor Nguyen will discuss the history of sex bias in medical research and how it can adversely affect the care of women.

Patricia Nguyen is Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiovascular Medicine) at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Health Care System.

Stanford faculty are invited to join us for lunch and a discussion.  Please RSVP to Wendy Skidmore if you would like to attend.
