Gold Coast Chamber Players Presents "Threads"


Upcoming concert - inspired by Clayman Institute Senior Scholar Susan Groag Bell's Contributions to Women's History.
In early March, the Gold Coast Chamber Players will present a concert, “Threads.” A new artistic initiative featuring female composers throughout history, this vibrant program is inspired by Susan Groag Bell, an important historian in women’s studies and an advocate for gender equality.
Two performances are scheduled:
Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in Palo Alto
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church
600 Colorado Ave., Palo Alto
Sunday, March 5, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. in Lafayette
Lafayette Library Community Hall
3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Lafayette
The concert will feature the compositions of Hildegard von Bingen, Lili Boulanger, Clara Schumann, Nadia Boulanger,
Jennifer Higdon, Geraldine Mucha, Thea Musgrave, and Amy Beach.
