10:30AM – 11:15AM Main challenges of women's rights in Latin America: Talk by Nadejda Marques, PhD

 Latin American feminism has had an important role in democratic transitions in the region. Nadejda Marques, lecturer and researcher on human rights, gender diversity and inclusion, reflects on historical accomplishments and the experiences of current women activists facing new challenges.

11:15AM – 12:00PM Press for Progress - Discuss, Explore, Create!

 Join us on International Women’s Day for a special workshop creating your own piece of art (painting, drawing, photography, etc.). Materials will be provided.

12:00 – 2:00PM CAW/UNAFF Screening & Discussion: MANKILLER (74 min) US

Following the screening there will be a discussion with the director/producer Valerie Red-Horse Mohl moderated by Jasmina Bojic, Camera as Witness Program Director and Founder of the international documentary film festival UNAFF

Light lunch will be served at 11:45AM. This event is free and open to the public.
