Cynthia L. Russell

Cynthia Russell is a nonprofit management consultant who specializes in helping new and emerging organizations with operations, fund development planning, and growth strategies. She began her career in the nonprofit sector as the first Administrator of the Center for Research at Women, now the Clayman Institute for Gender Research, an interdisciplinary research center she co-founded as a student at Stanford University. Cynthia has held executive leadership positions in the nonprofit sector and currently serves as Program Director of The Goodnow Fund, a Connecticut-based foundation. She also works with nonprofits through CrossSector Partners, a consulting firm she established in 2008, and she teaches nonprofit management courses at Norwalk Community in the Nonprofit Management Certificate Program, a program she designed for the college in 2012. She has served on several nonprofit boards and currently is a member of the Advisory Board of All Our Kin, the Board of Overseers for Hancock Shaker Village, and the Advisory Council of the Clayman Institute.
