David Palumbo-Liu is the Louise Hewlett Nixon Professor, and Professor of Comparative Literature, at Stanford University.  His areas of interest include studies in race and ethnicity, human rights (teachinghumanrights.org), social justice, and literary criticism and theory.  His most recent book is The Deliverance of Others: Reading Literature in a Global Age.  He is a Contributing Editor for the Los Angeles Review of Books, and blogs for The Nation, Salon, The Huffington Post, Al Jazeeraand other venues.
