Ed King is a PhD candidate in Linguistics at Stanford. He received his B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Chicago.

Ed's research focuses on the effects of social characteristics, such as gender and dialect, on the perception of spoken words. His dissertation examines how gendered language use and gender stereotypes affect the interpretation of words spoken by women and men.
