Megan Conlan
Graduate Voice and Influence Program 2017-18, School of Medicine
Megan obtained a B.Sc. in Physiology from Michigan State University in 2010. After completing her B.Sc., Megan worked for three years as a laboratory technician at the University of Michigan. In the first year she worked to identify protein biomarkers of chronic graft versus host disease, and during the last two years she investigated the role of Notch signaling in pancreatic development. For her Ph.D. Work, Megan is studying the biochemical regulation of ferroptosis, a form of non-apoptotic cell death, in human cancers cells. Long-term she is interested in work with chemical biology and drug development in biotechnology.
