Megan Wang
Graduate Voice and Influence Program 2017-18, Neurosciences

Megan Wang is a Neurosciences PhD candidate in the Neural Prosthetic Systems Lab led by Dr. Krishna Shenoy. She has a background in neurobiology and psychology. Her research interests encompass cognitive and systems neuroscience, including perception, decision-making, and sensorimotor processing. In her current work, she is investigating how perceptual decisions and the movements used to report these decisions are represented in the neural activity of premotor cortex, a brain area involved in goal-directed movements and movement preparation. This work will help shed light on how brain regions integrate complex variables in a context-dependent manner.
