Mirna El-khalily is a rising Egyptian-American sophomore from Los Angeles, California. She is currently exploring a variety of potential majors, including Economics, Sociology and Education. Her project explores patterns regarding the intersectionality between gender and socioeconomic status and the motivations Stanford students have in declaring a particular major, in relation to disparities in regards to numbers and yearly income in the workforce. Mirna enjoys listening to music, dancing, eating, and watching John Oliver in her free time. In the future, Mirna hopes to be a voice for female Arab youth in the US.
