Stuart Goodman is a professor in the Departments of Orthopedic Surgery, and Healthy Policy and Research in the School of Medicine. He received his B.S. in Sciences, M. Sc. from the Institute of Medical Science, and his M.D from the University of Toronto; he received his Ph.D. from Lund University in Sweden. His research interests include the biological aspects of the interface between orthopaedic implants/biomaterials and bone; total joint replacement: prosthesis design, biomechanics, biomaterials, mechanisms of failure; the effects of mechanical stimulation on mesenchymal tissue differentiation; and osteoarthritis: etiology, diagnosis, imaging, treatment, outcomes.
