Tania Morimoto

Graduate Voice & Influence Program Fellow 2016-2017

Tania Morimoto is a 5th year PhD student with Allison Okamura in the CHARM (Collaborative Haptics and Robotics in Medicine) Laboratory in the department of mechanical engineering. She received the B.S. degree in engineering as recommended by the department of mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2012 and the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in 2015. She is a recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. Tania's research interests include robotics, haptics, electromechanical design, and engineering education. Specifically, her research focuses on the design of procedure- and patient-specific flexible medical robots aimed to improve surgical procedures for specialized patient groups.
