Tina Cheuk
Graduate Voice and Influence Program 2017-18, Education


Tina Cheuk is a doctoral candidate at the Graduate School of Education at Stanford. She holds a B.S. in chemistry and biochemistry from the University of Chicago and a M.A. in education policy from Stanford. Tina's research in K-12 schools advances the development of teaching practices and school structures that support diverse learners in deep disciplinary literacy learning in science classrooms. Her work in higher education is to develop systemic approaches to increase the representation and advancement of women in academic STEM careers. She is the co-founder of Mothers in Academia and the Student Parent Alliance, two advocacy groups at Stanford that promote gender equity in the academy.
