Champions of Respect: Achieving LGBTQ Inclusion in Sport

Nevin is a strategic inclusion consultant and national thought leader on inclusion in sport. Her work brings individuals together to develop a deeper understanding of race, gender, and LGBTQ identities, frequently collaborating with athletic administrators to facilitate inclusion programming and develop sustainable inclusion strategies. Nevin is Co-founder of the LGBT SportSafe Inclusion Program, founded to create an inclusive infrastructure for athletic administrators and coaches to support student-athletes. She sits on the Women’s Sports Foundation’s Advocacy Committee, National Center for Lesbian Rights’ National Leadership Council, and serves as a member of the faculty for WeCOACH. Nevin was retained as the Diversity & Inclusion Consultant for the CIAA Conference, the nations oldest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) athletic conference in the country, and regularly partners with the NCAA on inclusion initiatives. She is a founding member of the Nike LGBT Sports Foundation and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
