Graduate Voice & Influence Program, 2018-19

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology (Archaeology track) studying the transnational management of cultural heritage in Armenia. My dissertation examines the social, political, and economic networks of relations that emerge from the financing and safeguarding of archaeological and historical architectural sites in Armenia. In particular, I am interested in how Soviet modes of heritage protection and reconstruction coalesce, coexist, and converge with post-Soviet management schemes. Prior to Stanford, I received a BA in Archaeology and Art History from Cornell University and an MPhil in Archaeology from the University of Cambridge.
