Amy Ladd is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, and, by courtesy, of Immunology & Rheumatology, in the School of Medicine. She received her AB in History from the University of Dartmouth (1980), and her MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University Medicine (1984). She completed her residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, NY (1989).

She has been awarded many honors including the Poster Exhibit Award, Best Scientific Content Honorable Mention, from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand Annual Meeting in 2003, and the Iris Litt Fund, from the Instititute for Women & Gender at Stanford, in 2004.
