Christina Mora-Mangano
Professor (MCL) of Anesthesia

She received her medical degree from Rutgers University in 1979 and completed a residency in anesthesiology and a cardiovascular anesthesia fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She held faculty posts at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, and Emory University School of Medicine. In 1995 she joined the clinical faculty at Stanford and in 1997 became an associate professor.

Mora Mangano is chief of the division of cardiovascular anesthesia. Her clinical responsibilities include managing complex cardiovascular cases, such as heart and lung transplants, and emergency cases. Since 1992 she has been an associate examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology. She served as committee chair and member of the board of directors of the Society for Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists and as program chair for the society’s 2001 and 2002 annual meetings. She is a fellow of the American Heart Association. Mora Mangano is currently developing a large multicenter registry database related to hypo-thermic circulatory arrest in cardiac surgery.  See her bio for more information.
