Debra Safer
Assistant Professor (MCL), Behavioral Medicine

Debra Safer is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University School of Medicine.  She received her M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Safer's primary research interests include the nature and treatment of eating disorders, particularly the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy to treat bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder
