Rudolf H. Moos
Professor of Psychiatry

Rudolf Moos is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Center for Health Policy/Primary Care and Outcomes Research Associate. He received his B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California in Psychology.  Moos has won numerous honors and awards, including the Distinguished Research Award of the Association of Medical School Psychologists (1998) and the Outstanding Achievement in Health Services Research Award of the Department of Veterans Affairs (1999).  Dr Moos' research program focuses primarily on patients with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders.  His current research group works primarily on psychiatric program evaluation and the quality of health care. The studies focus heavily on health care programs and the context, process, outcome, and cost of care.  Some ongoing projects focus primarily on life stressors and coping among healthy and high risk groups.
