Cindy Kin: "I'm Just Going to Take this Gallbladder Out, Then I'll Push" and Other Stories of Women Surgeons Raising Families
Women in the male-dominated world of surgery lack role models who "have it all." Women surgeons are discovering how to manage the competing demands of family and career, and often most demanding of all, their own inner conflicts. We will discuss these experiences of pregnancy and raising children among practicing women surgeons. We will also discuss attitudes and experiences toward raising families among trainee physicians.
Cindy Kin is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the School of Medicine.
