Kathryn Starkey: "Perspectives on Women's Lives in Medieval Germany"

How can we tell a more inclusive medieval history, one not solely focused on politics and the deeds of kings and “great men”? In this presentation, Professor Starkey will explore some objects and texts that offer us perspectives on women and gender in the premodern period, and discuss how they might be incorporated into writing about the middle ages.

Kathryn Starkey is Professor of German Studies.
